Ahrensdorf is a district of the municipality Nuthe-Urstromtal in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg .

Geographical location

The place is northwest of the community center. The neighboring districts and communities are (clockwise, starting in the north): Schönhagen , Trebbin , Kliestow , Märtensmühle , and Hennickendorf . The district borders in the north on the Schönhagen airfield . The Nuthe flows in the east outside the district in a south-north direction.

Etymology and history

The settlement was built in the 14th century by a locator arnstorp on behalf of the Trebbin lords . It appears for the first time in a document in 1357. However, it is also possible that Ahrensdorf near Ludwigsfelde is meant. 1372 was the pen Quedlinburg invested , came in 1450 in the possession of those of Thümen and finally with effect from May 22, 1815 Prussian . On December 5, 1993, the place joined the new community Nuthe-Urstromtal.

  • Ahrensdorf Hunting Lodge : The building was built at the beginning of the 20th century by the Berlin seed wholesaler Walter Metz as a summer residence for hunting and named after his daughters Berta and Doris Berdotaris . In the years 1936 to 1941 it served as a training center ( Hachshara camp ) for the Jewish scout association “Makkabi Hazair”. Young people should prepare for departure to Palestine on the property . Approx. 200 young people visited the farm; the last 48 young people were deported to Auschwitz .

Economy, politics and infrastructure

In addition to a few craftsmen and small businesses, there is a poultry farm and a horse boarding house.

The district road 7220 leads from Trebbin in a southerly direction into the place and in a south-westerly direction via Märtensmühle and Ruhlsdorf to Luckenwalde. Via the Schönhagener Weg there is a connection to the west in the direction of Moldenhütten and Dobbrikow . The Teltow-Fläming transport company connects the district with line 757 to Luckenwalde and Trebbin.
