The village of Kemnitz has been one of 23 districts of the Nuthe-Urstromtal community in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg since 1993 . The place with 111 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011) is ten kilometers northwest of Luckenwalde .
history
The settlement was built on a Slavic rampart . The first documentary mention comes from the year 1295, when Heydrenricus von Trebbin sold the place to the Zinna monastery in 1295 . There it appeared as Gemnitz , from 1303 Kemnitz . In the Thirty Years War the place was largely destroyed; the only remaining resident was the Lehnschulze . From 1684, however, 22 farms have come down to us again.
Kemnitz was incorporated into the new Nuthe-Urstromtal community on December 6, 1993.
Culture and sights
- The village church was built as a hall church, probably in the first half of the 14th century from field stones . In 1739 the church tower was added. Inside there is a wooden pulpit altar from the 18th century, a gallery and a sacrament niche .
- The gravesite for eight forced laborers in the cemetery and six farmsteads or houses are other architectural monuments in the village (see list of architectural monuments in Nuthe-Urstromtal ).
traffic
The state road L 80 runs through the village.
