Scharfenbrück is a part of the municipality Nuthe-Urstromtal in the Teltow-Fläming district in Brandenburg .

location

Scharfenbrück is located in the Baruther glacial valley about eight kilometers northeast of the city center of Luckenwalde . Surrounding villages are the district of Wiesenhagen in the north, which belongs to the city of Trebbin , Schöneweide in the east, Gottow in the southeast, Woltersdorf in the west and Liebätz in the northwest. In the northeast and southwest Scharfenbrück is forest area of forestry Kummersdorf surrounded.

The district road 7223 runs through Scharfenbrück. The federal road 101 from Ludwigsfelde to Jüterbog is about four kilometers away. The Hammerfließ flows through the village .

history

Scharfenbrück was first mentioned in 1397 as Scharpenbrugge . The place name indicates the location of the place on the water. The village changed its place in the course of time, a castle wall still testifies to the old settlement . On December 13, 1397 Scharfenbrück was designated as a desert and bought by the Zinna monastery .

From 1771 damask weavers were settled by an inheritance certificate . In addition, several wind and water mills were operated in the village . Sheep breeding was also typical of the place . There used to be a manor house in Schafendorf , of which only the park is left.

By 1916 Scharfenbrück was gepfarrt to Luckenwalde, since then the place to hear parish Woltersdorf which the Silesian Evangelical Church Berlin-Brandenburg-Oberlausitz belongs.

Scharfenbrück has always been part of the Kingdom of Prussia . Until 1952 the village belonged to the Luckenwalde district and after the district reform of July 25, 1952, it was assigned to the newly formed Luckenwalde district in the Potsdam district . After the fall of the Wall , Scharfenbrück was in the Luckenwalde district in Brandenburg . After the district reform in Brandenburg on December 6, 1993 , Scharfenbrück was finally assigned to the newly formed Teltow-Fläming district and merged with 22 other previously independent communities to form the new community of Nuthe-Urstromtal .
