Daryl Jeremiah Horgan (born August 10, 1992 in Galway ) is an Irish football player who has been under contract with the Scottish first division club Hibernian Edinburgh since 2018 .

Career

society

Daryl Horgan, who was born in Galway, started playing football in the Salthill neighborhood. In the 2010 season he made his first appearances in the men's field when he played for the club's first team, which competed in the Irish second division. In February 2011, Horgan moved to the first division Sligo Rovers after Salthill Devon was relegated to the third division as bottom of the table. In the first half of the season he was used ten times before he was awarded for the second half of the season to the second division club Cork City . Cork rose to the top of the league at the end of the season. Horgan was signed on shortly thereafter. After two seasons, Horgan moved to Dundalk FC . With the club he won the Irish championship three times in a row from 2014 to 2016 and the cup once. Together with his teammate Andy Boyle , Horgan moved to the English second division club Preston North End in December 2016 . In August 2018 he moved to Hibernian Edinburgh in Scotland .

National team

Daryl Horgan played once for the Irish U-21 national team against Denmark in 2013 . On March 27, 2017, he made his senior national team debut against Iceland and played a total of six times until his last appearance in November 2018.
