Ryan Porteous (born March 25, 1999 in Dalkeith ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Hibernian Edinburgh .

Ryan Porteous was born in 1999 in Dalkeith , a town in Midlothian . He began his career in the youth of Hibernian Edinburgh . In July 2016, the then 17-year-old was awarded to the Scottish fourth division club Edinburgh City . He played a total of 23 league games for the club in the 2016/17 season and scored three goals. After returning to the Hibs during the 2017 summer break, he made his debut for the club in July in the Scottish League Cup against FC Montrose . He made his debut in the Scottish Premiership on October 31, 2017 in the catch-up game against Kilmarnock FC when he came on for Brandon Barker in the 75th minute .

National team

Porteous played on the Scottish U-19 national team between 2017 and 2018 . In 2018 he completed an assignment in the U20 , and also made his debut in the U21 .
