Martin Boyle (born April 25, 1993 in Aberdeen ) is a Scottish - Australian football player who plays for Hibernian Edinburgh .

Career

Martin Boyle was born in the Scottish city of Aberdeen. He started his career at Lewis United before playing in the youth team at Montrose FC . He made his professional debut at the age of 16 in the Scottish Cup against Hibernian Edinburgh in February 2010 . For the fourth division, he completed a total of 79 league games by 2012 and scored 34 goals. In August 2012, the 19-year-old Boyle was signed by the first division club FC Dundee . In his first season in Dundee, he rose with the team in the second division. In the following year the direct ascent succeeded. In June 2015, Boyle signed a contract with Hibernian Edinburgh, having been loaned there from January to May 2015. With the Hibs , he was cup winner in 2016 and second division champion in 2017.

In November 2018, Boyle was named to the Australian national team. Boyle was born in Aberdeen, Scotland and obtained Australian citizenship in 2018 because his father was born in Sydney .
