Thomas "Tom" Lynn James (born April 15, 1996 in Cardiff ) is a Welsh football player who is under contract with Hibernian Edinburgh in the Scottish Premiership .
Career
society
Tom James joined Cardiff City in 2004 . For the club he played for the various youth teams over the next ten years. In April 2014 he got his first professional contract in Cardiff. He made his professional debut a month later in May 2014 in the Premier League game against Chelsea when he was substituted on for Fraizer Campbell . It was his only game in the first team for the next three years.
In January 2017, the 20-year-old defender moved to the English fourth division club Yeovil Town . After playing two league games in the rest of the 2016/17 season , he formed the defense of coach Darren Way in the following two seasons, 2017/18 and 2018/19 .
After Yeovil was relegated in 2019, James moved to Scotland to join Hibernian Edinburgh . Responsible for his signing coach Paul Heckingbottom was sacked six months after arriving in Edinburgh. Under the successor Jack Ross , James was hardly used in the further course of the 2019/20 season .
National team
Tom James played for the Welsh U19 national team against Portugal at least once in 2014 .
