Paul McGinn (born October 22, 1990 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Hibernian Edinburgh .

Career

Paul McGinn played for St. Josephs AFC and Queen's Park FC in Glasgow when he was young . For Queen's Park, McGinn made his debut on May 2, 2009 in the third division season 2008/09 against the Raith Rovers . After his substitution in the 59th minute of the game, he saw the red card in the 0-1 defeat in the 90th minute. In September 2012 McGinn signed a contract with the first division club FC St. Mirren . In November of that year it was awarded back to Queen's Park. Then he was awarded to the second division club FC Dumbarton . After the loan, he was firmly committed. As a regular player, he completed 35 of 36 possible second division games for the club in the 2013/14 season . In June 2014, McGinn moved with his teammate Paul McGowan to first division promoted FC Dundee . After two years, the defensive player moved to England for Chesterfield FC . The two-year contract was terminated after just one season. In August 2017 he signed with Partick Thistle for one season . In the 2017/18 season , the team from Glasgow was relegated to FC Livingston . McGinn then signed for the second time in his career with FC St. Mirren, who had previously been promoted to champions of the Scottish Championship. In January 2020 he moved to Hibernian Edinburgh .

Paul McGinn's brothers, John and Stephen are also soccer players. His grandfather, Jack McGinn, was a professional footballer and later chairman of Celtic Glasgow and president of the Scottish Football Association .
