Stephen "Stevie" Patrick Mallan (born March 25, 1996 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player who is under contract with Hibernian Edinburgh . His great-grandfather Jim Mallan and father Stevie Mallan were also soccer players.
Career
society
Stevie Mallan was born in Glasgow in 1996 to former football player Stevie Mallan . He began his career in the youth of FC St. Mirren . On November 22, 2014, he made his professional debut for the Saints in the Scottish Premiership against Hamilton Academical , when he was in the starting line-up and was substituted in the 68th minute by James Marwood . A month later Mallan scored his first professional goal in the game against Dundee FC . The goal was voted the most beautiful goal of the season by the Scottish Football League at the end of the season . In January 2015, Mallan extended his contract for three years. In June 2017, however, Mallan moved out of his contract when the English second division FC Barnsley had paid a transfer fee. After he was only eight times in the league in the second division season, and the club was relegated, he moved back to Scotland. He signed a four-year deal with Hibernian Edinburgh .
National team
Stevie Mallan has been a member of the Scottish U-21 national team since 2017 . He made his debut against Estonia on March 28, 2017 . In his second international match in this age group in September of the same year against the Netherlands , he scored the goal to make it 2-0, which was also his first goal for Scotland.
