Mordbier is a German television film by Markus Imboden from 2010. It is the 20th film in the ZDF crime series Das Duo .
action
The two inspectors Marion Ahrens and Clara Hertz have to solve the death of a "steak baroness" who was slain with a hammer and was found bathed in her own blood. Hertz immediately suspects the heir Thomas Fritz. His aunt was a consistent and bossy person and planned to get her nephew off her will. Because of her death, she never got back to it, which is the main reason for suspicion against Fritz.
After a detailed examination, the forensic doctor finds traces of blood on the murder weapon, which suggest that the hammer was used in a murder seventeen years ago that has never been resolved to this day. Together with this fact there is a trace of Christian Overbeck. Years ago he had killed his mother's tormentor with a hammer because he could no longer bear how his mother had to suffer from the woman. Years later, his wife was working under such a tyrant again, which led him to forcibly end this martyrdom as well.

criticism
Jens Szameit from Stimm.de came to the conclusion: “Based on a book by Wolfgang Stauch, Markus Imboden not only realized a very atmospheric crime thriller, but also a reflection on the potential for falsification of alleged facts. The bright glow of criminal investigation only flickers here briefly. When Hertz, Ahrens and their husband, the horned forensic technician (Peter Prager), end up having a 'murder beer' in the pub, the sky over the Hanseatic city has long since darkened again. "
Rainer Tittelbach from tittelbach.tv commented: “The Swiss director Markus Imboden ('Murderer on Amrum') once again ended up in the north. The story of Wolfgang Stauch is set in a milieu of money, greed, sadism and perversions. The number of suspects is pleasantly limited despite the amalgamation of two cases. The detective story is doubly original. The concentrated staging contributes to this. 'The duo' is doing well! "
Also Quotenmeter.de could this time find words of praise and wrote: "Apart from the unnecessary subplot by Ahrens' jealousy of the Saturday thriller is refreshing. Addressing DNA traces that supposedly cannot lie, but then suspect manipulation is very interesting and fits wonderfully into the modern image of the crime film. Slightly hidden criticism not excluded. But this Saturday thriller also wants to be mainly exciting. That works consistently. because even if you as a viewer are in the meantime overwhelmed by the extremely complex figure constellation and are overwhelmed with too much information at once, you can quickly find the red thread in the film. You can swim with the constant tension wave, because it never gets boring. "
The critics of the television magazine TV Spielfilm , on the other hand, gave it a medium rating (thumbs to the side) and wrote: “Hanebuechen tells.” As an overall conclusion they drew “The title fits: you have to drink yourself nicely”.
