Davy medal

The Davy Medal is the UK's highest honor given to scientists in the field of chemistry. It is made of bronze and has been awarded annually by the Royal Society since 1877 . It is named after the British chemist and physicist Humphry Davy . The Davy Medal is endowed with 2000 pounds sterling (as of 2016) .
