politics
Local councilor and local mayor
At the local level, Deichsende is represented by the Nordholz local council .
coat of arms
The design of the municipal coat of arms of Deichsende comes from the heraldist and coat of arms painter Gustav Völker , who designed around 25 coats of arms in the district of Cuxhaven.
Blazon : " Divided , above in blue a growing , red armored , golden eagle , below obliquely left divided by silver over green , each with a clover leaf in interchanged colors." | |
Justification for the coat of arms: The golden eagle, an old court symbol, reminds us that Deichsende was a court of law for centuries. The lower half of the shield, divided obliquely to the left, points to the dike. The shamrocks are symbols of the cultivation of the land. |
