coat of arms

The design of the municipal coat of arms of Spieka comes from the heraldist and coat of arms painter Albert de Badrihaye , who designed around 80 coats of arms in the district of Cuxhaven.

Spieka coat of arms
Blazon : "In Red an upright silver keys with you right gewandtem beard, right and left, accompanied by ever a silver clover ."
Justification for the coat of arms: The key reminds of the legend that the place name comes from a granary that is said to have been converted into a church later. The shamrocks are symbols of the march .
