The Lonely Fighter (Original Title: Choke Canyon ) is an American action film directed by Charles Bail from 1986.
action
The physicist Dr. David Lowell is working on an experiment in Choke Canyon, Utah . He is trying to develop a new, cheap source of energy and is expecting Halley's Comet to fly by . Lowell borrowed the land he set up his laboratory on from the Pilgrim Corporation for 99 years. Its chairman, John Pilgrim, decides, however, to use the canyon for the final disposal of nuclear waste . When Lowell resists this and invokes his contract, Pilgrim's henchman Parkside sends some of his thugs to destroy the laboratory.
While Pilgrim believes himself to be the winner with his right hand, attorney Brook Alastair, Lowell begins a campaign of revenge against the company, as a result of which he sets booby-traps for its outnumbered henchmen and ends in a chase between a helicopter and an airplane . Vanessa, Pilgrim's rebellious daughter, is an environmental activist on Lowell's side, who is taken hostage by him. Ultimately, however, the two fall in love and the Pilgrim Corporation is defeated.

criticism
"An unbelievable action story with numerous scenes of violence that gives away the opportunity for serious arguments."
