Play-down (relegation round)

In the 2010/11 season, a relegation round (play-down) from April 9 to May 8, 2011 was held among the teams in places 9-12 in the main round. The points from the main round were taken into the relegation round (see: main round table ).

The play-downs were played in the "everyone against everyone" mode, which resulted in a total of twelve matches. The last two in the relegation round should be relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga, but TV Bühl stayed in the 1st Bundesliga, as there was only one promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga.
