In addition, it is active in the development and communication of basic, advanced and advanced training curricula and models. In addition to carrying out evaluation and research projects, it works on the further development of theory, methods and ethics at EbM. Evidence-based Nursing (EbN) has been represented in the DNEbM since 2002 by the nursing and health promotion department.

Since 2008, the DNEbM has been awarding a science prize , the David Sackett Prize, named after the Canadian doctor David Sackett . Since 2009, the DNEbM has also been awarding the journalist prize “Evidence-based Medicine in the Media” . This is endowed with 1500 euros.

In 2010, the Austrian members created a special information service for Austria at www.ebm-netzwerk.at .
