action

The teenage sisters Dakaria and Silvania Tepes live together with their father, the vampire Mihai Tepes, and their human mother Elvira and their little brother Franz in a small town. Shortly before Franz's first birthday, Mihai reveals to them that the vampire queen Antanasia wants a half-vampire boy to be her successor and may have had an eye on Franz. Silvania accidentally hypnotizes both of her parents, incapacitating them. The vampire queen kidnaps Franz together with her assistant Urio and takes him to her “Black Castle” in Transylvania . Dakaria pursues the kidnappers and with the help of her old friend, the musician Murdo, penetrates the castle. Antanasia tries to get Dakaria on her side and make it palatable to her how free life is for vampires like her in Transylvania. Meanwhile, Silvania and the neighbor of the Tepes family, vampire hunter Dirk van Kombast, also made their way to the Black Castle. Van Kombast knows neither about Silvania nor about his very pregnant wife Ursula that these are vampires. In the castle they learn that the crown to be placed on the future ruler robs him of all memories of his past and his family. During the coronation ceremony, Dakaria succeeds in reminding the vampire queen of her own past as a human child. Deeply moved, Antanasia then renounces Franz's coronation.

Reviews

"Tim Trachte as director [...] continues the narrative and staging upward trend of the series with 'Die Vampirschwestern 3 - Reise nach Transsilvanien': narrative, because the third part is much more stringent, and staging, because the creators deal with a powerful one Transylvanian horror castle as the main setting did itself a great atmospheric favor. [...] In addition, 'Vampire Sisters 3' is surprisingly unpredictable for a family film: Jana Pallaske (' Burg Schreckenstein ') not only gives the vampire queen an intimidating presence that could scare the smallest audience in the cinema, but also a pleasant ambivalence: It is It is also thanks to Pallasse's strong play that one buys Antanasia's sympathetic traits as well as the embodiment of absolute evil. "

“A tolerably entertaining youth film, the staging of which is largely exhausted in chases. The vampire motif and the teen problems reflected in it give way to the slapstick of prominent adult characters. "

“Just because of the seductively evil, but not completely unsympathetic vampire queen, brilliantly embodied by Jana Pallaske, 'The Vampire Sisters 3 - Journey to Transylvania' is worthwhile. As with the first two parts, the equipment is also great. It's just a shame that the film wears off at the showdown, of all places. The solution to the conflict seems somewhat naive and quite unfinished. "
