Dillnhütten is a district of the city of Siegen .
geography
It is located about 6 km north of Siegen city center in the north of Siegen and borders among other things on the districts of Geisweid in the southwest, Sohlbach in the northwest and Niedersetzen in the east as well as the Kreuztal district of Buschhütten in the north. With just under 8 hectares, Dillnhütten is the smallest subdivision in the entire district and has little greenery in this area apart from the residential development. The place is located directly on the federal highway 54 from Siegen to Kreuztal and is completely fused with the places surrounding the valley. The town is connected to the Autobahn 45 via the HTS driveway in Buschhütten . The Ferndorf flows through Dillnhütten .
history
For a long time, Dillnhütten was a curiosity because the place as an independent municipality did not have its own district. It first belonged to the parish of Siegen, since 1898 to the parish of Klafeld (Geisweid), as well as to the registry office Weidenau, since January 1, 1900 to the registry office Klafeld.
Dillnhütten was an independent municipality in the Weidenau office until it was incorporated into the new town of Hüttental on July 1, 1966 as part of the municipal reorganization . On January 1, 1975, Hüttental was dissolved and the individual places were incorporated into the new city of Siegen.
