The Abelardo Pardo Lezameta district is located in the Bolognesi province in the Ancash region in western Peru . The district was established on January 9, 1956. The district was named after Abelardo Pardo Lezameta, a Peruvian politician who came from this area.
The district area is 11.9 km². The 2017 census counted 260 inhabitants. In 1993 the population was 218, in 2007 it was 678. The district administration is located in the 2096 m high village of Llaclla with 214 inhabitants (as of 2017). Llaclla is 16.5 km south of the provincial capital Chiquián .
Geographical location
The Abelardo Pardo Lezameta district is located in the Peruvian Western Cordillera in the south of the Bolognesi province. The district is located on the right bank of the south-flowing Río Pativilca .
The Abelardo Pardo Lezameta district is bordered to the south by the district Canis , on the west by the district San Miguel de Corpanqui , on the north by the district Ticllos , in the northeast on the district Chiquián and the east by the district La Primavera .
