The district of San Antonio de Antaparco is located in the Angaraes province in the Huancavelica region in south-western central Peru . The district was founded on April 7, 1954. It has an area of ​​33.9 km². The 2017 census counted 2,454 inhabitants. In 2007 the population was 3055. The district administration is based in the 2771  m high village of Antaparco with 396 inhabitants (as of 2017). Antaparco is 35 km east-south-east of the provincial capital Lircay .

Geographical location

The district of San Antonio de Antaparco is located in the arid Andean highlands in the east of the Angaraes province. The district is located on the west bank of the north-flowing Río Cachi .

The district of San Antonio de Antaparco borders in the south on the district Santo Tomás de Pata , in the west on the district Secclla , in the north on the district Julcamarca and in the east on the district Santiago de Pischa ( province Huamanga ).
