Djatkowo ( Russian Дятьково ) is a Russian city with 29,439 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010) in the Bryansk Oblast . It is located on the Bolwa River .
The administration of the Rajons of the same name (with the settlements of Iwot, Lyubochna, Star and Bytosh ) is located in Djatkowo .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1626.
During the Second World War , Soviet partisans succeeded in February 1942 in briefly liberating the town and other neighboring villages from German occupation, which had been occupied by troops of the German Wehrmacht since October 1941 , restoring Soviet power and reopening a hospital. In June 1942, however, they had to give up the place again. The city was not finally liberated until September 1943.
