Don Zimmerman

Don Zimmerman is an American film editor .

life and work

Don Zimmerman started out as a music and sound editor in 1969. He then initially worked for the Mirisch Corporation . He then became an assistant editor for Hal Ashby . From 1978 he appeared as an independent editor and has since been responsible for editing more than 40 productions . He received an Oscar nomination for Best Editing in 1979 for his first feature film, Coming Home .

In 1993 he met the director Tom Shadyac and cut his first film Ace Ventura . Further joint projects followed.

family

Don Zimmerman is the father of Dan Zimmerman , who appeared in films like Aliens vs. Predator 2 and The Omen were responsible for editing. His twin brother Dean Zimmerman also works as an editor.
