Building history

Exterior

Immediately after the Seven Years' War , a small brick church in the shape of an elongated square in the style of the time began to be built for the dilapidated church. The structure of the pilasters with cornice was used on the outside. The year 1767 can be read in the weather vane on the spire of the west tower with its baroque hood. At that time, the monastery headmaster August Friedrich von Strahlendorf on Gamehl and the provisional agents Bertold Friedrich von Bernstorff on Scharbow and Hans Friedrich Christian von Krakewitz on Briggow .

The spire was badly damaged by a lightning strike in 1955 and re-covered with shingles in 1969 . In 1995 the roof was covered with slate .

Interior

altar

The massive pulpit altar with a barrier comes from the construction period and is kept in a simple rococo style. The two altar candlesticks are metallized . The Vasa sacra date from the beginning of the 20th century. On the patronage boxes on the north and south walls there are two medallions on which you can see who had the church built, the name of the chef, the pastor at the time and the year MDCCLXIX (1769). The Pietà on the north wall comes from the Diemitz church and was made in the 16th century. The baptismal font is made of wood with a baptismal bowl from the 20th century.

Bell jar

There were two bells in the tower . The larger one was cast by Hackenschmidt in Berlin in 1827. The second, smaller and older, was without an inscription and was melted down during the First World War . During the Second World War the larger bell was melted down. Today there is a small bell in the tower again.

organ

In the church in Schwarz there was an organ from 1856 , which came from parts of an older organ from the Dobbertiner monastery church and was in such poor condition around 1900 that it was no longer able to conduct the singing of the community. In 1906 the Dobbertiner monastery chiefs were asked to buy a small new organ, as happened in the Larz church in 1894. The monastery office approved 500 marks from the monastery cash register, the rest should come from the bell bag cash register. In 1907, the court organ builder Carl Böger from Gehlsdorf built today's organ (I / P / 7 + 1Tr). It has a pneumatic action , eight stops in the manual and one in the pedal . In 1984 Axel Stübner from Berlin carried out a renovation. In 2007 it was completely overhauled with the support of the Black residents.
