Dorothea Hagena (born January 8, 1944 in Loxstedt , Wesermünde district , Hanover province ) is a German actress and radio play speaker .

Life

Dorothea Hagena grew up in Lehrte near Hanover , where she also passed her Abitur. She then studied English and social history with a “Magistra Artium” degree at the Universities of Göttingen and Bonn .

She began her career as an actress as an extra and small actress at the Stadttheater Bonn . She completed her acting studies from 1972 to 1975 at the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main , where she a. a. Received lessons from Günther Rühle , Peter Palitzsch , Ernst Jacobi and Peter Franke .

She then had theater engagements at the Stadttheater Frankfurt (1975), at the Stadttheater Regensburg (1976, as dramaturge, actress and assistant director), at the Bad Hersfeld Festival , at the Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss , at the Westphalian State Theater in Castrop-Rauxel , at the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen and in Stuttgart . She also worked for the Hessischer Rundfunk in Frankfurt am Main as an assistant director for “Radio Play and Cultural Word”.

In addition to her stage work, Hagena regularly took on smaller film and speaker roles. She took part in a few movies (among others, directed by Volker Einrauch and Tarek Ehlail ) and had roles in various television series , mostly produced by NDR or in Hamburg and the surrounding area. For her role as the protagonist's bedridden mother in the movie Mann im Spagat , produced and staged by Timo Jacobs , she received an Honorable Mention Female Actor at the Queens World Film Festival in New York in 2017 . In the 16th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (2020), she took a episode starring as alleged suspects, former GDR - athlete Marianne Stegemann.

She also emerged as a reciter and gave reading evenings with her own literary programs. As a radio play speaker she is u. a. in the radio play series Die Drei ??? and in Five Friends after Enid Blyton .

Since 1988 she has worked as a trainer for drama, art of storytelling, radio drama and rhetoric . From 1988 to 1991 she was the director of her own gallery as well as a theater and video workshop, where she staged skits and small plays, gave theater courses and taught role studies.

Dorothea Hagena is a member of the Federal Drama Association (BFFS) and lives in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel .
