Dragan Paljic (born April 8, 1983 in Starnberg ) is a German football player of Serbian origin.
Career
Paljic played in the youth departments of FT Starnberg 09 and TSV Blaichach . In 2000 he went to 1860 Munich , in 2003 he moved to the Association League promoted FV Olympia Laupheim in the Association League Württemberg , where he was top scorer with 20 goals in his first season. He then moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . After a few games for the second team, Paljic made the jump to the regional league squad, where he was able to establish himself. In three regional league seasons he scored twelve goals in 77 games. In the 2006/07 season , Paljic took second place in the table with Hoffenheim and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . There, too, he came regularly to missions despite the top-class newcomers Vedad Ibišević , Demba Ba and Chinedu Obasi . As second in the table , TSG 1899 Hoffenheim finally rose to the Bundesliga .
After the first day of the 2008/09 season , Paljic moved to the second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern . The attacking midfielder signed a three-year contract with the Palatinate . After starting 15 times in his first season at FCK , he only started five times in the 2009/10 season , when 1. FC Kaiserslautern was promoted to the Bundesliga . At the end of the season he was informed by the club that he had no place in the squad planning for the 2010/11 season . On July 15, 2010, the contract between Paljic and 1. FC Kaiserslautern was dissolved, two days later he signed a two-year contract with Polish runner-up Wisła Krakow .
There he was in the 2010/11 season as a regular player of the Polish champions . At Wisła Kraków , Paljic was also able to play international football for the first time. In the 2010/11 season, however, Paljic failed with Wisła Krakau in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League and 2011/12 in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League . In 2011/12, however, by leaving the Champions League qualification, you were automatically in the group stage of the Europa League, in which you met FC Fulham , Odense BK and FC Twente Enschede and qualified as second in the group for the sixteenth-finals, where however, Standard Liege failed. At the end of the 2011/12 season , Paljic was even briefly suspended by coach Michał Probierz due to poor performance.
At the beginning of July 2012, the Dutch first division club Heracles Almelo announced the commitment of Paljic for the 2012/13 season . He made a free transfer and signed a three-year contract until the end of June 2015. Paljic played 18 times for Heracles Almelo in the 2012/13 season and was used in several different positions. In the 2013/14 season he was hardly nominated for the squad and finally dissolved his contract with Almelo during the winter break of the 2014/15 season. A little later, Paljic signed a contract with the Western Australian first division club Perth Glory until the end of the season to replace the injured Youssouf Hersi . At Perth, Paljic played twelve games by the end of the season, but was excluded from participating in the championship play-offs, for which they had athletically qualified, because of violations of the salary cap .
In the summer of 2015, Paljic signed a contract with the German top division club 1. CfR Pforzheim .
