Druzhba (Ukrainian and Russian Дружба ) is an urban-type settlement in Terebovlya Raion of Ternopil Oblast in western Ukraine .
The place is about 25 kilometers south of the oblast capital Ternopil and 7 kilometers northwest of the Rajons capital Terebowlja .
The place arose in the course of the construction of the local railway Tarnopol – Kopyczyńce , a train station was built here in 1896, the station settlement was named Zielona Karczma and was located in the Austrian crown land of Galicia .
After the end of the First World War, the area became part of Poland (in the Tarnopol Voivodeship , Powiat Trembowla), was occupied by the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1941 and then by Germany until 1944 , and was incorporated into the Galicia District .
After the end of the war, the place was added to the Soviet Union , there the area raised to the village came to the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991. In 1963 the place now called Seljonaja / Selena was renamed Druzhba, and on December 24, 1986 it was finally given the status of an urban-type settlement .
