Duan Yingying ( Chinese  段 莹莹 , Pinyin Duàn Yíngyíng , born July 3, 1989 in Tianjin ) is a Chinese tennis player .

Career

Duan mostly plays on the ITF Women's Circuit . So far, she has won eleven singles and one double title there.

In 2013 she reached the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time ; she lost in the first round of the US Open to Caroline Wozniacki . She was in the second round three times on the WTA Tour , in 2012 at the GRC Bank Guangzhou International Women's Open and in 2013 in Shenzhen and Kuala Lumpur , before reaching the quarter-finals at the WTA tournament in Pattaya in February 2015 .

In August 2016, she won her first WTA title at the tournament in Nanchang . In the final, she beat Vania King in three sets.
