Duris
Duris (Δούρις, Douris) was a Greek vase painter of the red-figure style , the v from the late 6th century. Until about the middle of the 5th century BC. Was active in Athens .
Duris was one of the most important artists of red-figure vase painting in the pre-classical period . The pottery made by the potter Python was almost exclusively painted by Duris. His works mostly show battle scenes and symposia .
