Elena Kiesling (born June 28, 1982 in Siegen ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player and trainer.

Career indoor volleyball

Kiesling began her career in the hall at TV Jahn Siegen . She then played for TV Wetzlar , VC Schwerte and SCU Emlichheim before she went to the USA and was active in the team at the University of San Diego . After her return, Kiesling came to the USC Braunschweig and the 1st VC Wiesbaden to use. From 2006 to 2014 she was the player-coach of the TG Bad Soden and led the club from the regional league to the second league .

Career beach volleyball

Kiesling completed her first national beach volleyball tournaments in 2003. In the following years, she took part in various German tournaments with changing partners. In 2012 and 2013 she formed a duo with Jessica Gutermann on the national tour , with whom she took 13th place at the 2013 German Championships . In the same year she reached the final of the SuperCup in Münster with Jana Köhler and won the FIVB Challenger tournament in Seoul on her first international appearance . As Vice World Champion Britta Büthe was injured, Kiesling played with her partner Karla Borger at the European Championships in Klagenfurt and finished ninth. From 2014 to 2017, young player Leonie Klinke was her standard partner. On the German Smart Beach Tour , Kiesling came third with Chantal Laboreur in St. Peter-Ording and Dresden , and celebrated tournament victory with Laura Ludwig in Kühlungsborn and Jana Köhler in Nuremberg . Kiesling / Laboreur finished ninth in the German Championship . In 2015 Kiesling was able to repeat her tournament victory at the Smart Super Cup in Kühlungsborn, this time alongside Melanie Gernert . Gernert / Kiesling have been playing on the national Techniker Beach Tour since 2018 and have achieved numerous top spots. At the German championships they finished fifth in 2018 and ninth in 2019 .

trainer

After working as a player trainer at TG Bad Soden, Elena Kiesling was a trainer (hall and beach) at the federal base in Stuttgart from 2014 to 2018 . Then she trained the Lohhofer beach volleyball team Armin Dollinger / Simon Kulzer and worked as an athletic trainer for the WWK Volleys Herrsching and SV Lohhof . She has been the head coach of the Lohhof second division women since 2020.
