The Elmpter Bach nature reserve is located in the municipality of Niederkrüchten in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 39.62 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1987 , extends west of the “Heyen” part of the community of Niederkrüchten .
