The Hühnerkamp nature reserve is located in the area of ​​the town of Nettetal in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 27.42 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1984 , extends west of the Kaldenkirchen district directly on the border with the Netherlands .
