The Schlucht nature reserve is located in the municipality of Brüggen in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 129.78 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 2005 , extends west of Bracht , a district of the municipality of Brüggen, along the western border with the Netherlands . The B 221 runs east. To the west is the 321 ha large NSG Heidemoore and south the 1328 ha large NSG Brachter Wald .
