The nature reserve Grasheide and Mühlhausener Benden is located in the municipality of Grefrath in the district of Viersen in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 191.07 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1981 , extends northeast of the core town of Grefrath along the Niers . The B 509 runs south of the area and the A 40 north .
