The Fritzbruch nature reserve is located in the city of Viersen in the Viersen district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

The approximately 94.83 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1990 , extends north of the core town of Viersen along the Niers . The state road L 39 runs west of the area and the L 391 runs east.

The protection is provided to preserve communities or habitats of certain wild plant and animal species, for scientific reasons and because of the rarity, special character or outstanding beauty of the area.
