The Europe Top 16 2020 Cup in table tennis took place on 8 and 9 February in the Swiss Montreux instead. The defending champions were Dimitrij Ovtcharov for men and Petrissa Solja for women . Gold went to Timo Boll and Petrissa Solja.

qualification

The reigning individual European champions Timo Boll and Li Qian qualified as well as the 14 European players who were best placed in the world rankings of January 2020 (without taking into account the European champions and players who are not among the top two of the respective association or who are not eligible to play Have world tournaments). Since there was no player from the host Switzerland among these 15 players for men and women, the host was allowed to name a further participant, otherwise the last place would also have been awarded via the world rankings.
