Eva Holzapfel (born July 18, 1947 in Ochsenfurt ) is a German actress and singer ( soprano / mezzo-soprano ). She also works as a model .

Life

Education and theater

Eva Holzapfel studied singing at the University of Music in Würzburg . During her studies she was a prize winner and scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association in Bayreuth ; She has also had guest engagements at the Vienna Chamber Opera and the Stadttheater Würzburg (as Venus in Orpheus in the Underworld ).

Eva Holzapfel received her first permanent engagement after completing her training in 1976 at the Stadttheater Würzburg. She made her professional debut as a trained soprano there as Demoiselle Franziska Cagliari in the operetta Wiener Blut . Her other stage roles in Würzburg included Despina in Così fan tutte , Pamina in Die Zauberflöte and Giulietta in Hoffmann's stories (with Waltraud Meier as a partner, among others ). This was followed by various guest engagements, including at the State Theater on Gärtnerplatz in Munich.

As a guest she was engaged at the Raimund Theater in Vienna , where she sang the title role in the operetta Venus in Silk . She also performed regularly as a concert soloist in masses and oratorios with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra . In the 1989/90 season she appeared at the Stadttheater Gießen in a new production of Kurt Weill's rarely performed opera Der Silbersee in the role of second saleswoman. In the opening premiere of the 1992/93 season, Hoffmann's Tales by Jacques Offenbach , she took on the role of "Appearance of the Mother" in the Antonia act.

Acting and advertising

From the 1990s onwards, Holzapfel shifted her activities mainly to acting. She worked as a supporting actress in several television productions. Most of the time she was used in television films and series that are set in southern Germany , Upper Bavaria or Austria . She has appeared in Schöne G'schichten (1996; with Helmut Fischer ), Father Against Will (1995; with Lambert Hamel and Christian Quadflieg ) and Dr. Schwarz and Dr. Martin (1995; with Senta Berger ) can be seen.

In 2006 she played a supporting role in the ZDF television series Die Rosenheim-Cops ; she played Sophie Poschinger, the murdered owner of a traditional costume factory. In the television series Dahoam is Dahoam (2013) she also had a supporting role; she played Ms. Bartl-Dittmann, an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture. In December 2015, Holzapfel was seen in another supporting role in the ZDF crime series SOKO 5113 , she played Martha Knopflinger, the murdered innkeeper in the Glockenbachviertel .

She played a supporting role in the Austrian short film Manie , which premiered in 2015 at the Madrid International Film Festival. She embodied Gertrud, the mother of the 60-year-old painter Peter ( Peter Mai ). In 2015 she was nominated for “Best Supporting Actress in a Foreign Language Film” for her role.

In addition to her work, Holzapfel works as a model for print media, commercials and film recordings. It was seen in numerous commercials, including for the laundry detergent brands Lenor and Dixan , for Mon Chéri (director: Helmut Dietl ) and the former cell phone provider BASE 2 . For Bild am Sonntag, Holzapfel modeled in a bikini at the age of 65 .

Holzapfel is married and lives in Munich.
