Eyrenville is a former French commune with the last 219 inhabitants (1968) in the department of Dordogne in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Aquitaine ).
On January 1, 1973, the former parishes Falgueyrat , Mandacou and Eyrenville merged to form the newly created parish Plaisance , with the former parishes being given the status of a Commune associée . By resolution after the referendum on January 17, 2010, the merger was transformed into a simple merger of the three communes associées , in which the former municipalities were integrated into Plaisance.

Parish church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine
The oldest elements of the church dedicated to Mary Magdalene date from the 12th century. It has Romanesque and Gothic elements. On all sides of the chancel there are coats of arms of the Seigneurs der Grèze, who had this privilege since the 16th century. Over the centuries the church has undergone several alterations, in particular its dome in the 16th century and its altarpiece in the 18th century. Various restorations were carried out at the end of the 19th century. The pulpit and glass windows date from this period. The pulpit is a plaster work. Her stairs are decorated with irises , the basket is sculptured with representations of the four evangelists . The altar is also made of plaster and has a bas-relief depicting the Last Supper .

La Grèze Castle
To the west of the center of Eyrenville is the castle on a hill above the Banège valley . It served as an outpost for Issigeac, who was to watch over the small valley. Only a chapel from the 15th century with a polygonal stair tower remains of the original structure . A new residential wing was built in the 17th century. It has two relatively narrow side wings with high mansard roofs . The rear facade shows traces of two low side wings, which connected to the pavilions at the back to form an entrance courtyard. At the southern entrance portal , under a pointed arch, there is a side door with the coat of arms of the Juge de la Grèze family. A polygonal dovecote also belongs to the palace complex, which is privately owned and cannot be visited.
Foussal Castle
It is a property that was built in the 17th and 19th centuries and has now been converted into a holiday home.
