Faroese Women's Football Super Cup
The Faroese Football Supercup for women ( Faroese : Stórsteypadystur kvinnur ), also known as the Lions Cup (Faroese: Lions-steypið ) after the sponsor , is the football competition in the Faroe Islands between the winner of the Faroese Football Championship and the Faroese Football Cup . The Supercup is the first competitive game of the season for both participating teams and will be played on artificial turf in March at the Tórsvøllur Stadium in Tórshavn .
history
The competition was in 2007 by the charity organization Lions Club in the men launched and has since been held annually. All income generated goes to this organization. The sum of money averages 50,000 Faroese crowns . The women played the Supercup for the first time in 2019.
mode
The winner will be decided in a single game. If there is a draw after 90 minutes, a penalty shoot-out follows immediately .
