The UNICEF Mesterfinalen , also known as the Norwegian Football Supercup, ( Norwegian : Superfinalen ), is a Norwegian football competition for club teams. The reigning national champion competes against the reigning cup winner before the start of the season. If a club wins the double, the runner-up is the opponent.

history

After the competition paused after the first two events in 2009 and 2010 and was revived in 2017, the event in 2019 fell victim to the poor weather conditions.

The competition is inspired by the English FA Community Shield and was played for a good cause. For the first edition in 2009, Norsk Toppfotball , TV2 and UNICEF worked together, the game was part of a charity television show.
