German Chess League 1985/86

The 1985/86 season was the sixth season of the German Chess League . The chess department of FC Bayern Munich became champions for the third time after 1983 and 1985 . The SK Heidelberg , the VfL Sindelfingen , the PSV Wuppertal and the SK Zehlendorf were newly promoted . While Heidelberg and Sindelfingen were able to stay in the league, Wuppertal and Zehlendorf had to relegate again. The other relegated teams were SK Zähringen in 1921 and TB Erlangen , which lost 3½: 4½ in the deciding game for relegation against Sindelfingen.
