The FDP Canton of Bern , officially FDP. The Liberals of the Canton of Bern (formerly the Free Democratic Party of the Canton of Bern ) is a liberal political party in the Canton of Bern , it belongs to the FDP. Liberals Switzerland is a member of and forms its cantonal party.
The party president has been Grand Councilor Pierre-Yves Grivel from Biel since 2012 .

- Division of the party into district parties
The FDP canton of Bern is divided into eight district parties. Basically, the district parties correspond to the division of the canton of Bern into the administrative districts, with the following three differences: The FDP of the city of Bern has the same status as a district party, although the city of Bern is administratively part of the administrative district of Bern-Mittelland . The FDP members of the three Oberland administrative districts ( Frutigen-Niedersimmental , Obersimmental-Saanen and Interlaken-Oberhasli ) are combined in a single "district party" (FDP Oberland). The same applies to the FDP members in the administrative districts of Biel and Seeland , which are also combined in a single “district party” (FDP Biel-Seeland).
