Frankfurt-Höchst Farbwerke is a train station part (Bft) of the Frankfurt-Höchst train station . The stop is served in the network of the Rhein-Main S-Bahn .

location

The stop is located at the North Gate of the Höchst Industrial Park in Frankfurt area Frankfurt-Unterliederbach . It is located in the middle of the apron of the Frankfurt-Höchst train station .

In the immediate vicinity of this stop, north of the through tracks, there is a maintenance center for passenger trains with a washing facility.

Surname

The reference in the station name to Farbwerke Hoechst was retained despite their dissolution, but the name of Farbwerke Hoechst was changed to Frankfurt-Höchst Farbwerke .

history

Before the current stop was created, there was a color works stop on the Königsteiner Bahn , which was connected to the factory premises via a long steel bridge, named after the large model "Eiserner Steg". The current stop was built in 1967 and incorporated into the S-Bahn network in 1978.

Infrastructure

There is only one central platform . This can only be reached via a pedestrian tunnel, which has three further exits: two public exits on both sides of Hoechster-Farben-Strasse , where the Industriepark Höchst Tor Nord bus stop is also located, and a non-public exit onto the industrial park grounds.

The platform, almost unchanged for 40 years, has little architectural quality. The two entrance structures in Hoechster-Farben-Strasse are more complex. The access tunnel was redesigned and has been under video surveillance ever since.

use

In addition to employees of the Industrial Park Höchst stop is also at events in Centenary and Ballsporthalle used (Fraport Arena). The S-Bahn lines S1 and S2 stop here, and they separate there in a westerly direction. Regional trains of the RB 22 line ( Main-Lahn-Bahn ) also stop four times a day during rush hour at the Farbwerke stop. City bus routes 53 (Höchst Zuckschwerdtstraße - Zeilsheim train station ) and 55 ( Rödelheim train station - Sindlinger Friedhof) stop at the neighboring bus stop . Frankfurt-Höchst Farbwerke is assigned to station category 5.
