List of train stations and stops in Frankfurt am Main

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In Frankfurt am Main there are 35 train stations and stops , including two pure freight stations , three long-distance train stations , ten regional train stations and 19 pure S-Bahn stations or S-Bahn stops.

They are located on the old-building railway lines that radiate outwards from Frankfurt, heading west ( Mainbahn , Main-Lahn-Bahn , Taunus-Eisenbahn ), northwest ( Königsteiner Bahn , Kronberger Bahn , Sodener Bahn ), north ( Homburger Bahn , Main-Weser-Bahn ) , East ( Frankfurt Süd – Aschaffenburg , Frankfurt – Göttingen ) and South ( Main-Neckar-Bahn , Riedbahn ) as well as the new lines , the City-Tunnel Frankfurt and Offenbach , the Frankfurt Airport S-Bahn and the high-speed Cologne – Rhein / Main line .

The first Frankfurt train stations were the Taunus train station, which was demolished after 1888, in 1839 and the first Höchst train station, which was replaced by a new building at another location in 1880 . In 1978, numerous train stations and stops were converted into S-Bahn stations.

The Frankfurter Rundschau occasionally conducts quality tests on passenger train stations .
