The Frankfurt (Main) Mühlberg station is an underground S-Bahn station of the City-Tunnel Frankfurt in the south of Frankfurt am Main , Sachsenhausen district . The station belongs to station category 4 and was opened in 1992 together with the last, eastern section of the City Tunnel (called Tunnel Frankfurt-Mühlberg ). It consists of two tracks that are located on a central platform .
The escalators and an elevator that leads to the tracks are on Offenbacher Landstrasse .
Similar to the other Frankfurt S-Bahn stations, the walls of the station are painted with numerous graffiti images.
Since 2018 Frankfurt (Main) Mühlberg , as well as the other operating locations in the city tunnel, a rail station Part of Frankfurt's main train station.
Connection
The station is served exclusively by the S-Bahn lines S1, S2, S8 and S9.
Above the S-Bahn underground station is the Mühlberg station on lines 15 and 16 of the Frankfurt tram . The Frankfurt city bus line 46 ( museum bank line , was effectively closed on December 9, 2018) as well as the night bus lines n62 and n63 also stop at this station .
