Drug addict Nick Clark wakes up after a drug frenzy in an abandoned church and finds his girlfriend Gloria, who is in the process of eating a human corpse. Nick flees the church in shock, is hit by a car and taken to the hospital. There the attending doctor explains to his mother Madison and her friend Travis Manawa that Nick's experience was just a drug-induced hallucination. The high school where Madison and Travis teach will be closed for a day after a video surfaced on the news of cops shooting an aggressive man but failing to go down after multiple hits. Nick breaks out of the hospital and meets with his dealer, Calvin, to see if the drugs he bought from him were stretched . After Nick talks loudly about drugs in a restaurant several times, Calvin drives him to a dry concrete river bed, where he secretly takes a gun from the trunk and asks Nick to get out. However, Nick notices the gun and there is a scuffle between the two, in which Calvin is accidentally shot. Nick tells his mother and Travis about the matter, and the three of them drive back to the river bed in Travis' car. There they are attacked by an infected Calvin, whom Nick then runs over several times with Travis' car.

After their experience with Calvin, Madison and Travis plan an escape into the desert. While Madison gets ready to leave home with her children Nick and Alicia, Travis is looking for his ex-wife Liza and son Christopher to come with them. Meanwhile, Nick suffers from severe withdrawal syndrome and Madison drives to the abandoned school building to get him an oxycodone to relieve the withdrawal. There she meets the student Tobias, who gets food from the school cafeteria. The two find the infected school principal Art Costa, who, after attacking Tobias, is killed by Madison. Travis drives to Liza's house. After it turns out that Chris is not home, Travis and Liza drive downtown together, where they find him in the middle of a demonstration against police violence. When the police shot an infected woman in front of the demonstrators, a violent riot broke out and the three found refuge in the Salazar family's hairdressing salon.

As the riots in the city center continue to escalate, the group has to flee Salazar's hairdressing salon because a fire has started in the building next door. On the way to Travis' truck, Griselda is seriously injured in the foot by a billboard falling over. The group drives to a hospital only to find that the police have already surrounded it and shoot the infected. While Madison, Alicia, and Nick wait for Travis to return, a dog scratches their balcony door. After they let him into the house, he starts barking, causing Madison's infected neighbor Peter to approach the house. The three decide to get a rifle from the apparently absent neighbors Susan and Patrick Tran. When Nick and Madison return to the house, Travis arrives with Liza, Chris and the Salazars. Alicia is attacked by the infected Susan in the Trans garden, but is saved by Chris. In the house you can see Peter above the dog, eating it. Peter attacks Travis, whereupon Daniel shoots Peter in the head with the stolen shotgun. All three families decide to spend the night in the house. The next morning Ofelia tries to convince her father Daniel, despite his differences with Travis, to flee with Travis' group, but he wants to stay in the house for the time being and seek a doctor for Griselda. As the others are just driving off, soldiers storm the area, clear it of walkers and quarantine the entire block.

The military has set up one of 12 security zones south of the San Gabriel Mountains in the district where the Clarks' house is located . When Chris pans the surrounding area with his video camera, he notices light signals in one of the allegedly abandoned houses. Madison sneaks out of the security zone and discovers that the army is killing not only the infected, but also all survivors outside the fences. After mandatory health checks, the military moves into the Clarks' house to take Griselda to a military hospital because of her injured foot. Despite protests from his family, they also take Nick with them, who is still struggling with his heroin addiction. Liza, who has medical experience, also comes along as a helper. Daniel warns Madison of a similar case in his home country El Salvador , in which people were abducted and killed under the pretext of medical treatment. In the evening Travis sits down on the roof and looks out over the area when he suddenly perceives machine gun fire from the house from which Chris had previously received light signals.

Nick, Doug and another man are in a cell at the military hospital, from which Doug is taken away by soldiers after a nervous breakdown. When the soldiers want to take Nick with them, his cellmate bribes them with two cufflinks and they leave him there. The man reveals to Nick that he has forged an escape plan and that he needs Nick's help. After Griselda dies of septic shock, Liza shoots her in the head with a nail gun to prevent her from transforming. Ofelia and Daniel kidnap Corporal Adams in the security zone. Daniel tortures him to find out what the code word cobalt means, which he picked up several times on the military radio. Travis persuades Lieutenant Moyers to take him to the hospital, but on the way there they run into a library overrun with infected people and have to turn back. Daniel finally manages to get Adams to believe that cobalt stands for the evacuation of all soldiers from Los Angeles, killing all surviving civilians. The program is to be initiated the next morning. He also receives information that around 2000 people were crammed into a sports facility by the military and left to their fate. Daniel explores the said sports facility and notices a large number of infected people behind locked doors. Alicia and Chris witness several military vehicles exit the quarantine zone.

Since the military apparently no longer wants to use Operation Cobalt and has left the quarantine zone completely, Madison and Travis' group decides to free Griselda and Nick from the military hospital and then to flee. Adams is released before Travis' escape without Daniel's knowledge and intent, after he received precise descriptions from Adams of where Griselda and Chris could be found. To free them, they let the infected out of the sports hall, lure them to the hospital and use the resulting chaos to enter the building unmolested. Meanwhile, Nick and his ally Victor Strand managed to escape from their cell, but wandered by zombies through the labyrinthine corridors of the hospital, where they finally meet Madison's group. With the help of Liza, they manage to escape from the building. While Alicia and Chris wait for them to arrive in the underground car park, deserted soldiers lie in wait for them and take one of their vehicles. Adams later appears in the underground car park and shoots Ofelia in revenge for his torture. Travis then brutally beats him out of anger. Together with Victor Strand, the reunited group drives to Strand's property on the Los Angeles ocean coast in their remaining vehicles. There Liza explains to Daniel and Ofelia, who is not seriously injured, how to care for Ofelia's wound and sets off for the nearby beach. Madison pursues her and learns from Liza that she was bitten by a zombie without being noticed. Liza asks Madison to shoot her with her gun, but it is Travis who saves Liza from metamorphosis with a shot in the head. Meanwhile, Victor shows Nick his boat Abigail , which is anchored in the sea not far from the coast and with which he plans to escape the apocalypse.

After the military began bombing Los Angeles to contain the undead, the group fled on Victor Strand's luxury yacht Abigail . Shortly after leaving the port, they encounter a small motorboat with about a dozen survivors, but both Victor and Travis refuse to accept them, as there could be infected people among them and the supplies on the Abigail would not be enough for everyone. Victor makes San Diego the Abigail's next destination . Meanwhile, while listening to the radio, Alicia intercepts a call for help from a stranger named Jack, who reports that he and two relatives have also saved himself on a boat and starts a dialogue with them. She also reports her approximate whereabouts to him. Travis watches as Chris and Daniel begin to get closer personally because of their family blows. Madison notices that Victor is constantly awake, Daniel later explains to her that he is suspicious of Victor, as he left his safe house long before the LA bombing. The group buries Liza on the open sea, and Chris reacts very emotionally and he blames Travis for Liza's death because he shot her. Alicia learns over the radio from Jack that his boat is going to sink and she asks the group to rescue him, which Victor refuses, pointing out that he is the owner of the Abigail and therefore has to determine. During dinner, Chris jumps into the sea, Nick follows him and they suddenly meet the undead floating in the water. These come from a capsized ship nearby that was apparently attacked with heavy weapons by strangers, and Nick is able to retrieve the wreck's log. Victor notices an unidentified boat on the radar approaching the Abigail that would overtake them due to its higher top speed, and he warns the group that the ship's crew may have attacked the overturned ship and may have hostile intentions towards them too.

The Abigail runs into the bay of a nearby island with a nature reserve to hide from its pursuers near the coast, as it is more difficult to locate it there by radar. Strand, Daniel and Ofelia stay behind on the ship while Travis goes ashore with the rest of the group to search for supplies at a ranger station. There you meet George and his family of five. George was a ranger in the nature reserve on the island and reports to Travis that, according to his information, all of the larger cities on the west coast and some in the hinterland had already been destroyed and San Diego had been burned down. George believes the disaster is an act of nature to free itself from humanity. Meanwhile, Melissa, George's wife, asks Madison to take her two smaller children with her on the boat. On the ship, Daniel secretly looks around in Victor's quarters and finds a submachine gun and nautical charts that point to Mexico as the actual target of the beach. Meanwhile, Victor has a cellular phone conversation with someone he promises to come immediately. The radar now shows that the Abigail's pursuer must have lost it and turned it off. On the island, Nick presumably searches the house for drugs and finds pills hidden in a globe. He is surprised by the little daughter Willa. Chris suspects that these pills contain poison and warns Travis and Madison that George is probably planning to use them to poison his family and himself. Travis and Madison then decide to take the children Willa and Harry with them, but Willa has already taken a pill and is dead. When her mother bends over her, she wakes up again as the undead. She bites her mother, who also mutates into a zombie. The group now returns to the Abigail together with Harry, but is forced there by George's older son Seth at gunpoint to surrender Harry. According to his father's will, Seth wants to stay on the island with the whole family. The undead Melissa comes towards them on the jetty. While Seth instructs Harry to wave to the passengers of the departing Abigail , he distracts him so that he shoots the mother with the rifle.

After the crash of Flight 462 , five survivors rescue themselves on a lifeboat. One of them is pulled into the water and reappears with a bite wound, which is why he is violently thrown from the rubber dinghy. Among the inmates are the seriously wounded Jake and Alex, who care for him. Another survivor expresses concern that he will mutate. He tries to kill Jake that night, whereupon Alex stabs him. Meanwhile, an engine problem paralyzes Abigail . Travis clears the blocked water intake and works on the filter system. Meanwhile, the others discover an island with suitcases lying around. Alicia, Nick, Chris and Daniel go to the island in the hope of finding food supplies and medicine. Shortly before, Daniel Madison tells of his discovery of the maps that suggest Mexico is the destination of the trip. On the island, Chris discovers the plane wreck and finds a survivor in it, who, however, has a bite wound. The survivor asks Chris for help, but refuses water. Chris understands this hint and kills him. Madison confronts Victor with Daniel's theory, and Victor then specifies Rosario in Baja California as a destination, as there should be a safe shelter there. Madison doubts it, but implores Victor to show confidence. Victor refuses to do so because he is of the opinion that the real danger at sea would be people. However, he agrees to "pull together". Nick also goes in search of food and falls into a sand pit where he is attacked by an undead. While searching for Chris, Daniel meets Alex, who is fleeing from a horde of the undead. Alicia finds Chris at the wreckage when they hear gunshots from Daniel trying to stop the undead. They run back to the bank and meet Alex and Daniel there. All four arm themselves with objects lying around and fight against the advancing undead. The attack on the Abigail is not hidden either, Travis succeeds in getting the ship running again. Alicia is in danger of being bitten by an undead in a duel when Nick shows up with a completely bloody face. He attacks several undead, which the others take advantage of to flee. Nick, on the other hand, stays behind and notices that he is not being attacked by the undead as he approaches them. He catches up with the others and they all escape the island together, including Alex and Jake, who are dragging them in a rubber dinghy. Victor refuses to accept Alex and Jake. However, Travis can get the Abigail to tow the two of them and provide them with food, even if they are not allowed to enter the ship. Later, however, Victor cuts the connection to the boat and leaves it floating on the ocean.

One night, Nick swims to an island, kills an undead and smears himself with his blood. Meanwhile, a small boat with three occupants appears in sight of the Abigail and Chris first considers shooting her. However, when they get closer and ask for help for a pregnant woman among them, they are brought on board. Alicia recognizes the voice of one of the newcomers as that of Jack, with whom she communicated over the radio a while ago. At that moment of distraction, the newcomers overwhelm Travis, Daniel, Chris and Madison and take command. Victor notices that Daniel stole the ammunition from his gun and he escapes into a dinghy. When the newcomers realize this, they shoot at the dinghy, damaging it and leaving Victor defenseless on the ocean. In several retrospectives, Victor's life before the virus outbreak is shown: He gets drunk with a businessman in a hotel bar, brings him to his room and steals his valuables in the process. An indefinite time later, Victor is visited by the businessman in his apartment, who introduces himself as Thomas Abigail and is accompanied by his henchman Luis Flores. In a factual conversation, Victor does not deny having stolen a total of $ 35,000 and thanks Thomas for not calling in the police and forgiving him. However, Thomas denies the latter and says he now has Victor in his hand. From now on, they jointly trade in land, and it becomes clear that the Abigail is the ship of Thomas and Luis Thomas' half-brother. Over time, Victor and Thomas begin a relationship with each other. In the present, the bandits on the ship tie up everyone except Alicia and Travis, who is supposed to start the ship without a key, and contact another accomplice named Connor. Alicia learns from Jack that this is not the first ship to be captured by Jack's group and that the crews of the previous ships have been killed. To save herself and the others, Alicia tries to win Jack's trust and promises him to stay with him if he makes sure that nothing happens to her family. In the meantime, Nick meets the armed Luis on the island, with whom Victor organized the crossing to Mexico, and they both set off in a boat to the Abigail . On the ship, Madison tries to distract the pregnant Vida, who is guarding the prisoners, while Daniel tries to free himself from his bonds. Reed, the leader of the three bandits, notices Connor's appearance and asks Travis to start the ship, which he succeeds. Connor has Travis and Alisha brought on his boat and back to the base and drives back with them and Vida, the others are to be abandoned on an island. Two of the bandits are supposed to stay on the Abigail for this, but Reed wants to kill the prisoners. But before that happens, the boat appears with Luis and Nick in sight and Luis shoots the bandits remaining on the ship with a sniper rifle. Reed tries to get an overview and is finally overwhelmed by Ofelia and seriously injured by Madison with a tool that Travis previously hid from her view. Luis refuses to go on without Victor, Madison finds him shivering in the water and takes him back.

Alicia is on board a naval ship that is under Connor's direction. He was the cook and watched the team desert. Now he wants to get to know Alicia better. She is not tied up, but cannot move freely on the ship either. On the upper deck of the ship, she can take a quick look around and discovers that she is in the port of a larger island. Meanwhile, the seriously wounded Reed is handcuffed to a chair in the Abigail's cabin . While Daniel is looking after and interrogating Reed, the latter threatens that Connor, his older brother, would attack them if he doesn't show up soon. Chris, who repeatedly hears teasing from Reed, takes over his supervision. Daniel reports to Madison about Reed's interrogation and his statement about five ships that are supposed to belong to Connor, whereupon she uses the radar to navigate them. Luis is vehemently against it. There was only a short time window and instead of the two people who were originally supposed to go to Mexico, there were already too many, even without Travis and Alicia. Victor then sides with Madison and sees the debt settled by his rescue. Madison reprimands Nick for his individual actions, such as finding Luis, and demands that he hold back in the future. Jack briefs Alicia on how to take over other ships. Your job will be sighting and making contact. Connor's stipulation is that every member of the ship should be helpful. When she saw the Abigail on this occasion , she accused Jack of having accepted the death of her family because the ship had arrived too quickly. To find out what happened, she wants to go back to the Abigail , whereupon Jack agrees to accompany her. Travis wakes up in a locked part of the ship. Shortly afterwards, Alex visits him there. She tells him how she killed Jake after they both realized that his death could not be prevented and blames Travis for it. Connor then found her and asked for something in return for her rescue. Then she told him about the Abigail . Travis expresses his regret to her for his actions. Alicia later appears and tells him about her plan. Travis asks her to leave him behind should she endanger him. Meanwhile, is Abigail Connor radioed, then Madison proposed an exchange; Travis and Alicia versus Reed. Connor agrees, expects Reed unharmed and accompanied by a person during the exchange, which is to take place in an hour. Nick's suggestion to make himself available ignores Madison and chooses himself as an escort. A shot can be heard shortly afterwards. Chris had shot Reed in the face, pretending that Reed was going to turn undead. Madison tries to calm him down on his self-reproach. While Ofelia and Nick clean the crime scene, Reed actually turns into an undead. Daniel prevents him from being finally killed and devises a plan to keep the exchange going. After putting a sack over Reed's head, Daniel hears a disembodied voice telling him to take the gun. When he wants to get to the bottom of the voice, Ofelia enters the room and picks up the transformed Reed for the exchange. Alicia hides from Jack, who comes to pick her up. She is surprised by Vida, who tells her to go to Travis' previous cage. Alicia can take her off guard and lock her up there herself. Upon delivery, Travis is exchanged for the undead Reed. When Connor pulls the sack off Reed's head, he is bitten by him. Then one of his accomplices attacks Travis, who knocks him down with a butt in the head. Another accomplice is killed by Reed. Madison sees her daughter in the distance, whereupon she and Travis return to their boat. Before Alicia also leaves the harbor, she meets Jack, who doesn't understand what she is doing. Alex said what her group did. You two should go away together. At Madison's signal, Alicia jumps into the water, from where Travis and Madison pull her into the boat. With one last look at Jack, she returns with them to the Abigail .

The episode begins with a mass in a place in Mexico, near Baja, where Victor wants to take refuge. After the churchgoers and the priest had received a host, all apparently died of poisoning. On the yacht, Victor and Luis are waiting for the negotiator Miguel, who has to be paid for the passage through the military area to get to Baja. When he approaches in a speedboat, Miguel is not alone, but is accompanied by another soldier. The two enter the yacht while everyone except Victor and Luis hide below deck. When the two men want to inspect the boat more closely, there is a shooting, in which not only the men but also Luis are shot. The yacht is now under fire from military speedboats, but is able to escape as the military stops tracking near land. The group now enters the country and approaches the church, where the parish had previously been poisoned. Victor searches in vain for his friend Thomas Abigail, whose car is parked next to the church when a group of the undead attacks. Madison falls under a zombie and threatens to be bitten by it. Behind her is Chris, who could help her, but just watch. Alicia grasps the situation and saves her mother. With Thomas 'car they now drive to Luis' mother Celia's big hacienda. They are only admitted there after they have given up all their weapons. Thomas Abigail was apparently bitten on the arm and is infected, he does not have long to live. Victor decides to die by suicide together with his friend. For this they receive poisoned hosts from Celia, just as they were served in the church. Alicia confronts Chris with his inactivity when Madison was lying under a zombie, whereupon Chris tries to speak out, but then threatens Alicia if she would tell the others about it. Later it comes to an argument between Travis and Madison, who had been told by Alicia. Madison thinks Chris needs help in his condition. Daniel examines the area at night and sees a child feeding caged zombies with a dog. He learns from Celia that the zombies are relatives of employees. Celia had thus protected them from complete death because they would have been hunted outside. Apparently she is not afraid of the state of the undead and sees the undead as what comes next. In her opinion, the undead were always among them, only now they could be seen. When Thomas dies from the infection, Victor does not take any poison, but shoots Thomas in the head to kill him completely. Meanwhile, Chris sneaks into Madison and Alicia's bedroom and picks up a knife. Alicia and Madison, woken up by Victor's shot, wake up to see Chris and send him out, which he does.

Celia sends the group off their property because Victor shot her son Thomas, but Victor can still bury Thomas. Travis is looking for Chris, who has left. When he finds him, Chris increasingly loses his sense of reality. Nick brings back Luis, Celia's son, who has been transformed into the undead, so the group, with the exception of Victor, is allowed to stay on the hacienda. Daniel appears and injures one of Celia's employees, whereupon he is imprisoned. He can later free himself and sets the property on fire while Victor is being sent out. The rest of the group now flees with Victor in the pickup and wants to return to the boat, while Nick separates from the group and pulls away alone.

Nick embarks on a hike to Tijuana in the north, where Celia's group is believed to have gone. To do this, he has to cross a mountain to reach the road to the north. There are always reviews with his girlfriend, most of which are about his father who died by suicide. When he was sleeping in a house, he was attacked by the resident in the morning and lost his water and backpack. Once on the road, he is pursued by a gang, but he can escape by fleeing into the wilderness. He spent the night at a camper wreck and was attacked and bitten by two dangerous dogs in the morning, but managed to save himself on the roof of the camper. The dogs that besiege him are eaten by a small herd of the undead. Nick, camouflaged from the undead with his blood, joins the herd. After the herd has reached the road again, it collapses after a short distance. By chance he is watched by three armed men, but they do not help him. At night it rains and Nick wakes up, can pull himself up again and limps to the beginning of Tijuana. There he meets the three gunmen again, a woman and two men, who now help him and bring him to their camp. Here he is being treated by the pharmacist Alejandro, the camp leader.

In the camp, Nick observes how an infected resident voluntarily goes through a sluice into a caged herd, where he also becomes the undead. This herd serves to protect the camp and is in front of it. At the camp, Nick is given the task of going shopping with Luciana, one of the three who saved him. They exchange oxycodone for water in a supermarket run by a gang. Nick steals a chocolate bar, but is caught doing it. But he can use his drug experience to convince the gang that he is in a better negotiating position and get even more water for the trade. He gives the stolen chocolate bar to a little girl in camp who had lost her father. Alejandro preaches to the residents of the camp in which he swears everyone that this new world is made for them. Belief in it holds the group together and they would never leave. The group with Madison, Alicia, Victor and Ofelia no longer finds their ship Abigail on the beach and heads north. You come to a large hotel complex, the Rosarito Beach Hotel, which seems abandoned. While Alicia and Ofelia search the hotel rooms for usefulness, Victor and Madison get drunk at the hotel bar. Alicia notices that many undead fall from the balconies in the hotel and at the same time notices that Ofelia is no longer there. The undead invade the hotel bar, where Madison and Victor hide behind the counter.

The episode begins with a look back at the hotel. A wedding party celebrates just before the Apocalypse breaks out. When one of the guests has a heart attack and becomes undead, two hotel employees, Elena and Hector, lock up the company, apparently almost all of them becoming undead. While searching for Madison, Alicia meets Elena, with whom she wants to get downstairs together. Once there, they meet the rest of the wedding party, who in exchange for Elena's hotel keys release her friend Hector. Alicia and Elena are now fleeing from many undead in the hotel and are saved by Madison at the last second. Chris and Travis arrive at a gas station where Chris is looking for supplies while Travis is shorting out a car. They meet three friends, Brandon, Derek and James, who are on their way to San Diego. Against Travis' objections, they decide to stay together, mostly because Chris wants to. This fits better into the group of three than Travis would like, as they are very ruthless. They come to a farm where they discover chickens. However, they are threatened by the owner and should disappear. Chris shoots the man after he shot one of the three in the leg.

A look back shows how Madison and Victor were able to save themselves from the undead behind the hotel bar. They could disguise themselves from the others with the blood of one undead. While searching for Alicia and Ofelia, they discover that Ofelia has continued with the pickup. You meet the remaining wedding guests and decide together to clean the hotel of all undead in order to settle there permanently. The plan succeeds, the undead are smuggled over a bridge into the sea, where a strong current drives them out to sea. Nick gives his camp more supplies to trade by stretching the oxycodone tablets. Alejandro tells him that he was allegedly bitten by an undead without getting sick. Nick becomes friends with Luciana and starts a relationship with her.

One of the residents in Nick's camp escapes with his wife and daughter, but is caught by the gang that controls the streets and runs the supermarket. All three are later killed and they presumably tell the gang the exact location of the camp. Nick sees the camp being watched. Ofelia is shown in a flashback with her fiancé, whom she probably wants to visit now. Victor is stabbed in the hotel by Ilene, the bride's mother, and needs medication to rescue him. Madison procures these in the same supermarket with which Nick's group does business. There Madison learns that Nick has already been to the supermarket. At night Madison turns on the lights in the hotel, which Travis sees.

Lured by the nightly lighting of the Rosarito Beach Hotel, many people now gather in front of the hotel fence, Travis joins them and is let in by Madison. A look back shows how Travis helped the wounded James. After a week the other two decided to just shoot James for stopping them. After Travis could not prevent this and was also treacherously taken by surprise by Chris, the group split up with Chris, who wanted to move on with Brandon and Derek. Travis can't stop him and curses him goodbye. All 43 people seeking protection have now been admitted to the hotel and treated by Andrés, the only one with medical knowledge.

Ofelia's car breaks down and she has to keep walking. She walks along the border fence with the USA and finally discovers a gap. She is walking through the parched wasteland when she is shot at. She is provided by Jeremiah Otto and has to give up her knife. Nick secretly goes to the supermarket down the aisle with someone else from the camp to swap goods. There the boss explains to him that he is no longer interested in their oxycodone, since he has since become friends with another gang who supply him with drugs. He recommends Nick, because he likes him, to leave the camp today because he will attack it. Nick sends this warning to Alejandro, who refuses to leave the camp. He believes in the faith that would save him. Alejandro confesses to Luciana that he wasn't bitten by an undead, but by the boy he wanted to save. He only used the myth to gain power over the group and to lead it. During a conversation between Nick, Alejandro and Luciana in the infirmary, a patient who has just passed away becomes undead and bites Alejandro. Meanwhile Brandon and Derek have arrived at the hotel, where they are waiting for a doctor. Madison realizes that these were the two Chris was with and tries to hide them from Travis. But it doesn't succeed and Travis locks himself up with them, where he beats them until they admit that they shot Chris, who was injured in an accident. Then Travis completely loses control of himself and kills both of them. During the fight, he also knocks the door against Oscar, the groom and brother of Andrès, so that he stays where he is.

Travis is first imprisoned and is supposed to leave the hotel because he knocked Oscar down and violated the statutes with the murder of Brandon and Derek. Madison and Alicia decide to go with him and negotiate to leave the hotel the next morning. When Oscar cannot be saved, Andrès and Hector change their minds and attack Travis. Andrès aims a pistol at him, but is then stabbed by Alicia. The three flee. You first get to the gang's supermarket, which has now been abandoned, and then to the abandoned camp, where you still meet Alejandro, who is on his last legs. They learn from him that Nick was there and is on his way to the border. You are now also going in that direction. Alejandro has already weakened from the bite. Nick wants to leave the camp, Luciana wants to stay. When Nick is outside the camp, he sees a helicopter and returns. He makes a plan to save the residents of the camp. When the gang attacked the camp, it was deserted and the dying Alejandro drove away the bus that formed the lock, whereupon the gang was overwhelmed by the undead. The residents of the camp, led by Nick, walk towards the helicopter Nick sighted and suspected rescue camp on the border. There they come under fire, however, in which Luciana is shot and are taken prisoner.

Madison, Travis and Alicia have been captured by paramilitary forces at the border and are being taken to military compound. Travis is separated and taken to a cellar. Nick and Luciana are already there. In this cellar, the supposed soldiers carry out macabre experiments with the prisoner survivors. These are measured and then killed. A bet is then made on how long it will take the killed to become undead. Madison and Alicia are not taken to the basement, but locked in the office of Commanding Troy. He promises to bring them to safety. Nick and Luciana manage to escape, they can escape into underground passages with the help of another prisoner who knows the area. However, Travis is captured again and thrown into a pit with zombies. Madison overpowers Troy in the office and threatens to tear out his eye with a spoon. So she forces him, Alicia and her free. In front of the building with Troy under control, she asks for her family, which is also granted by Jake, Troy's brother, who is now present. Unaware of Troy's murderous experiments, Jake resolves the threat against Madison, Alicia, and Travis as he appears to be authorized to give orders to his younger brother. When they rush to the aid of Travis in the pit with the undead, Travis has now killed all the undead. Madison now plans to move on, even though Jake offers her to go to his ranch. However, suddenly many undead come out of the building and everyone has to flee. Madison and Nick continue in Troy's jeep, while Travis, Alicia and Luciana fly away with Jake in the helicopter.
