Felix Kurmayer

Felix Kurmayer (born November 10, 1964 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Felix Kurmayer studied drama, musical / operetta / chanson from winter semester 1987/88 to 1990 at the Vienna Conservatory - private university of the City of Vienna . In Los Angeles (1994) he also trained as a film actor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He participated in over 100 theater and film engagements in Austria and Germany, including at the Vienna Burgtheater under Claus Peymann , at the Landestheater St. Pölten , at the Stadttheater Baden bei Wien, at the Stadttheater Innsbruck, at the small comedy in Vienna and Graz, at the Freie Bühnen Wieden and at the Schaubühne Vienna.

In the summer of 1998 he appeared at the Berndorf Summer Games as Dr. Thorn in three men in the snow . From January to March 2000 he played the role of Mortimer in Maria Stuart at the Vienna Ateliertheater . In the 2003/04 season he played the role of Theodor in Arthur Schnitzler's play Liebelei at the Theater-Center-Forum in Vienna ; at his side Bruno Thost as an old Weiring. In 2005 he appeared as Hamlet at the Vienna Ateliertheater .

In June 2005 he played the role of Ensign Otto von Aigner in Schnitzler's play Das weite Land in a production of the Stadttheater Baden near Vienna. In the summer of 2005 he was a guest at the Wachaufestspiele Weißenkirchen as waiter Hans in Der Hofrat Geiger in a production by Erwin Strahl .

In 2006 he played the hairdresser “Monsieur Marquis” in Der Talisman at the Schaubühne Wien . Felix Kurmayer has also appeared regularly at the Freie Bühne Wieden since 2007 and is considered a “crowd favorite” there. In the 2007/08 season he joined Wieden stage as Arthur Schnitzler in theatrical collage at the Free Schnitzler and the sweet girl from Gerald Szyszkowitz on.

In the summer of 2009 he was a guest at the Schloss Weitra Festival as Hans Ödenburg (in the original: Algernon Moncrieff) in Ernst you have to be after Oscar Wilde . In the summer of 2014, Kurmayer played the elegant but highly opaque “Lord from Rome” at the Hunyadi Castle Summer Games in Maria Enzersdorf in the premiere of the play Disobedience? For God's sake! . In June 2015 Kurmayer appeared at the Summer Games at Hunyadi Castle as Dr. Ebenwald (Professor of Surgery) in Schnitzler's play Professor Bernhardi . In September / October 2015 he performed the Professor Bernhardi production at the Freie Bühne Wieden. In the summer of 2016 he took over the role of banker Natter in Schnitzler's play Das weite Land at the Summer Games at Schloss Hunyadi, alongside Johannes Terne as manufacturer Friedrich Hofreiter .

Kurmayer also took on several film roles, mostly in Austrian productions. His film career began with his involvement in Thomas Pluch's award-winning multi-part series Das Dorf an der Grenz (Part 4), directed by Peter Patzak . In August 2012, Felix Kurmayer was seen in an episode role in the crime series SOKO Kitzbühel ; he played the crib maker Kilian Hochleitner. In March / April 2016, Felix Kurmayer can be seen in the ZDF series Die Rosenheim-Cops in three episodes; he plays the Frankfurt gallery owner Bernhard Abel, the partner of the new temporary commissioner Verena Danner ( Katharina Abt ).

In addition to his work as an actor, Felix Kurmayer also works as a studio spokesman and rhetoric trainer for international corporations. Felix Kurmayer lives in Vienna.
