Before he played in the youth teams of the KSC from 1993, he had been active as a child at FV Hambrücken.

Karlsruher SC

The 1.84 m tall defender played in the regular team at KSC and completed 56 second division games in his first two seasons. The 2006/07 promotion season ended prematurely for Dick due to a torn cruciate ligament - his injury forced him to take a nearly year-long break. On matchday 31, he made his Bundesliga debut against Hertha BSC . At the end of the 2008 season, the KSC Dicks did not extend the expiring contract at the end of the season, as there was no longer any sporting perspective for him in Karlsruhe. In 85 league games he scored one goal and provided four assists.

1. FC Kaiserslautern

For the 2008/09 season he moved within the 2nd Bundesliga to 1. FC Kaiserslautern , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2011. There he immediately established himself as a fixture in the right full-back position and scored his first goal for FCK on August 25, 2008 (2nd matchday) in a 2-1 home win against 1. FC Nürnberg . On August 29, 2008 (3rd matchday), he immediately scored his second goal of the season when he scored a 2-1 lead in the 3-1 away win against FC Ingolstadt . He scored his last goal of the season on April 12, 2009 (27th matchday) in a 2-0 away win against VfL Osnabrück . Dick only missed three league games of the season, two of them due to a yellow card suspension . At the end of the season there were 31 league games and four assists in addition to the three goals. In the DFB-Pokal he completed all possible minutes, whereby the FCK failed in the first round to Carl Zeiss Jena .

He was also a fixture in the right-back position of FCK in the 2009/10 promotion season . During this season he played 33 league games and only missed the 1: 2 away defeat on April 4, 2010 (29th matchday) against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen due to a yellow card suspension. He remained goalless, but provided four assists in the league and one in the DFB Cup , where he also played all three games over the full distance.

As in the two previous seasons, Dick also had a regular place in the position of right-back in the 2010/11 season after promotion to the first division. He scored his first Bundesliga goal and only goal of the season on November 7, 2010 (11th matchday) in a 3-1 away defeat against Bayer Leverkusen . He also put on two goals in 27 league games. In April 2011 he extended his expiring contract to 2014 with a validity for the first and second division.

“There was no doubt for me that I would like to stay in Kaiserslautern. We have built something up here as a team and I think we still have some potential. "

Even in the 2011/12 relegation season, Dick held the right-back position almost continuously and again only missed two games due to yellow card suspensions. On January 28, 2012 (19th matchday) he scored the first double of his professional career in a 2-2 draw in the away game against FC Augsburg . He also put on a goal in 32 league games.

For the 2012/13 season 1. FCK signed Florian Riedel, a new full-back, for the right-hand position in the defense chain, but Dick was able to hold his own against his younger competitor and played in 33 league games. He also completed the two relegation games over the full 90 minutes. He scored his only goal of the season on September 30, 2012 in a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Braunschweig .

On April 20, 2014 Dick scored a remarkable goal with a volley in the home game against FSV Frankfurt , which was voted Goal of the Month for April 2014; Overall, Dick scored three goals in the 2013/14 season . Nevertheless, his contract was not extended by the FCK.

Arminia Bielefeld

For the 2014/15 season, Dick moved to Arminia Bielefeld in the third division; he initially signed a three-year contract. He rose in his first season in Bielefeld with the team in the second division. Dick was a regular player for the first two years. In the 2016/17 season he was not taken into account for a long time, but was used again in the final phase of the season after coach Jeff Saibene took office . During the 2017/18 season - in which he was largely again a regular player - it was announced that the expiring contract with Dick would not be extended.

Career finale at 1. FC Kaiserslautern

Shortly after the end of the 2018 season, Dick returned for one season to 1. FC Kaiserslautern, who had been relegated to the 3rd division, and then ended his active career.

National team

Dick made his debut for the German U20s on August 27, 2003 in a 5-1 away win against Switzerland in Schaffhausen . He was on the starting grid and played the full 90 minutes. Three more missions followed, the last on April 21, 2004.
