Florian Eisner (born August 23, 1975 in Innsbruck , Tyrol ) is an Austrian actor , director and musician .

Life

Eisner has had guitar lessons with Hanno Winder at the Innsbruck Music School since 1990 . After his Matura in 1993 at the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Sillgasse and his community service in 1994 at the Red Cross (Rescue Innsbruck), he studied from 1994 at the Leopold-Franzens-University Innsbruck , from 1997 there then the subjects Comparative Literature and German Studies . In 2002 he completed his studies as a Magister (Mag. Phil.).

As a guitarist and lyricist he was active in Innsbruck in the 1990s in the literary rock band "Asphalt". In 1996 he wrote the libretto for the musical "Isaiah", a work commissioned by the Diocese of Innsbruck , which was shown in Tyrol and on a subsequent tour of Austria.

In 2000 he began studying acting at the Innsbruck Drama School (Schauspielforum Tirol), which he completed in 2003 before the stage trade union's equal examination committee with the stage qualification examination. In 2001, under the direction of Christian Stückl , he made his professional stage debut as Archduke Ferdinand von Habsburg in Felix Mitterer's play Gaismair at the Tyrolean Volksschauspiele in Telfs .

From 2002 to 2004 he was engaged for two seasons at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck . There he stepped u. a. as Mort in Chief Evening Wind (premiere: December 2002), in Liebelei (2002), as Lord Lovell in Richard III. (2003), as Bernard in Death of a Salesman (2004) and as Raoul / Raimond in The Maid of Orleans (2004).

He also had guest engagements at the Augenspieltheater Hall (2001, 2003) and the Basement Theater Innsbruck (2004). In 2003 he was a guest at the Schwazer Freilichtspiele as “Poor Neighbor” in Felix Mitterer's play Ein Jedermann . In 2004 and 2005 he appeared for the first time at the Komödienspiele Porcia in Spittal an der Drau in Carinthia ; since 2008 he can be seen there every year.

In 2005 Eisner joined the ensemble of the Schauspielhaus Salzburg ; there he was involved in numerous productions until 2009. His important roles there included Lucky in Waiting for Godot (2005), Melchior Gabor in Spring Awakening (2006), Biff in Death of a Salesman (2007), Münz-Matthias in Die Dreigroschenoper (2007), Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing ( 2008), Schupo Alfons Klostermeyer in Faith, Love, Hope (2009) and Paris in Romeo and Juliet (2009).

Since 2010 he has worked as a freelance director and actor in Vienna, Innsbruck, Graz (2013; stemos project Graz), Carinthia, Switzerland and Italy . Since 2010 he has appeared regularly at the United Theaters in Bozen , a. a. as Templar in Nathan the Wise (2010), as a student Pyotr Sergejewitsch Trofimow in Der Kirschgarten (2011), as First Lieutenant Demeter Stanzides in Das weite Land , in the title role of a stage version by Michael Kohlhaas (2014-2015) and as a border hunter in Der Weibsteufel (2015). He had other engagements at the Theater an der Effingerstraße in Bern (2012 and 2015) and at the Kellertheater Innsbruck (regularly since 2010).

In October 2013 he worked alongside the chamber actress Julia Gschnitzer as pool attendant Reini in the world premiere of the play Romy's Pool by Stefan Vögel at the Salzburg State Theater . With this production he then made a guest appearance in 2014 at the Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen and the Stadttheater Bruneck.

From 2006 onwards, in addition to his work as an actor, Eisner took on his first directorial work in Innsbruck, Salzburg and Vienna . In 2006 he founded the Theater praesent in Innsbruck, of which he was director until January 2013. Under Eisner's direction, the theater was built into an established basement stage with its own venue.

In addition to his work at the theater, Eisner was regularly in front of the camera for film and television productions. He appeared in the Austrian cinema productions in March by Klaus Händl (2008) and Michael by Markus Schleinzer (2011). In 2007 he had a small role as mountain rescuer Sascha in the television film The Call of the Mountains - Shadows of the Past . In the television film Hannah Hellmann - Der Ruf der Berge , the pilot of the new mountain film series by ZDF , he was also seen in a smaller role in March 2015. He played Pietro Gamper, the husband of the hut landlady Lisa ( Catherine Bode ).

Eisner has been working regularly as a spokesperson for the ORF cultural broadcaster Ö1 since 2007 . He is also active as a speaker for radio plays and radio features . Since 2008 Eisner has appeared as guitarist and singer in the band Bluespension . Eisner lives in Salzburg.
