The San Martin de los Andes Airport (officially Aeropuerto Aviador Carlos Campos or Aeropuerto Chapelco) is an Argentine airport near the town of San Martin de los Andes in the province of Neuquen . The airport opened in 1981 and has been offering flights to Buenos Aires ever since . There are also additional seasonal flights, especially in the summer and winter holiday season. The airport is named after the Chilean footballer Carlos Campos and Cerro Chapelco , the mountain and ski area at the foot of which it is located.
