French women's football championship 1991/92

The French women's football championship in 1991/92 was the 18th edition of this title since the official recognition of women's football by the French Football Association in 1970 and the first staging in the 1974/75 season . It was also the last season in which there was still no top league in France ; instead, the championship was played again in a mixture of league and knockout mode .

Defending champions FC Lyon were eliminated in the semi-finals this time. In the final, Juvisy FCF prevailed against CS Saint-Brieuc and won their first championship title.

Preliminary round

30 teams played a double round of points in three regional leagues, in which each club competed against every other group opponent in home and away games. The two group winners and the two of the three group thirds with the highest number of points achieved in each group reached the quarter-finals; these are marked in green in the tables below. In the event of a tie - the two-point rule applied  - first the direct comparison and then the better goal difference was decisive.

Since for the following season a national first league with twelve participants in a single group was introduced with the National 1 A championship , this round also decided who would belong to this elite class, namely the four best group members. The teams in the respective ranks five to ten played only second class in the 1992/93 season .
